DIBBITS HOBBIT HOUSE PLANTINGS

In the winter of 2021, Dibbits Landscape Supply Ltd. requested that we design a wildflower garden to top a hobbit house that was built on their property a few years back as a drystone workshop for contractors.

The hobbit house itself was designed and installed in 2019 by John Shaw-Rimmington, waller sculptor and president of Dry Stone Walling Across Canada, with the participation of local contractors (Lavish Gardens also participated in part of this build).

Originally, the hobbit house was covered in sod. Sod was removed and soil was installed before a selection of wildflowers and native perennials were planted in June of 2021.
